Sampling with sofware....

is this possible to do well, i know recycle can be used as a sampler, but are there any other good progs that sample, and can isolate certain notes or loops?

any respectable wave editor will do. i use sound forge 7.0 :yes:
recycle can be used as a sampler, yes, but if you don't work with rex files, you'll need it only to slice\chop loops and sounds. isolating certain notes or loops can be done in a wave editor.

Check out MOTU's Mach Five, its not an audio editor it is a "software sampler" and its the best one that I've seen on the market.

Wavelab 4 does the trick for me

If you have a good asio card fruity loops 4 producer edition can sample from audio inputs and it has an audio editor....it works pretty good.....
