Also, if you have a computer, rip the track on to it then grab the samples from the rip tracks with Audition.

Ok yall aint paying attention he said he sampling from cds from what I guess a portable cd player. He's using the headfone OUTPUT of the cd player in to the record INPUTS. Of his mpc (wow 350 wow lucky bastard. Lol)
You don't have to ground a cd player guys.

the head fone out signal I believe is a different level than line level not sure tho. If lowering the volume on the cd player and or record level on the mpc don't work. Id sugest using a regular cd player wit rca outs
And if it still come out messed up its the mpc (but hey 350 so y complain lol) mite be the record in on the mpc. Check dat out.

Oh yeah I know about ROUGE . Bought and sold a few pieces to and from them. They have good ish. The only place id buy used gear from
But yo go to radio shack and get another brand new wire and try it ( only 3 bucks , shoot wit all you saved on the mpc. Lol ok ill stop now.)

Hoped I helped. I don't have a mpc. But know about hooking up things in general.

ok... Freaks is here... so never fear...
[LaV] that is correct..you have to ground to the car frame... usually you'll see it under the carpet in the trunks or backseats....

[ Dj T] it's your CD player sadly to say... your audio card that is soldered in is loose and your getting static from your plug wiggling around in there... if you put your headphones on and wiggle it...you can hear is in your headphones also...you cables are just doing a better job at picking it up, becuz they are bigger then your headphone cable....to test my answer.... run RCA to 1/8"...and see if it is still staticy...

best of luck...

6 moves, is dis AKAI sample cd's ? cos if it is, i recommend u use a program called CDXTRACT , what u do is, u put da cd into ya cd rom on da computer and CDXTRACT will convert all these partitions into your chosen format (.wav , .sf2 , .giga , .nki or whatever)

And if its a CDDA sample cd, what u should do is convert da whole CD into .wav , then use a program called WAVEKNIFE (just use google)
it will auto chop all the tracks for u (it cuts where theres silence, u can configure it how u like)

hope this helps
