Sampling problem with maschine

Please help me I use maschine with my laptop and a Tapco link usb interface and im trying to sample you tube of my desktop computer which has a bog standard realtek soundcard built in but when I come to sample the sound is really quiet what am I doing wrong ?

First, what OS are you on?

You may try and use ASIO4ALL but your best bet is to get a USB audio interface.

Also what are you sampling from? If it is a turntable then you need to get the signal up to line level and that would take a preamp, so spend like $100 and get a USB interface.
