Sampling On The Motif??????????

I THINK IM GOING WITH THE MOTIF.....BUT I AM USED TO SAMPLING WITH MY MPC2000XL......I AM SELLING MY MPC AND JUST GONNA USE THE MOTIF AS MY DRUM MACHINE/SEQUENCER/SAMPLER....BUT HOW IS SAMPLING WITH IT......DO U GET THE WAVE STYLE PATTERN LIKE WITH THE MPC (WERE U CAN EASILY SEE THE SART AND FINISH OF A SOUND) AND CAN U CHOP UP A SAMPLE GOOD WITH IT....THANKS ...ANY INFO WILL HELP

arghhh, nooob! The mpc contains an S2000 sampler and couldnt possibly be better than the current budget sampler that yamaha can implement in the Motif. Anyway, if you're concerned for the sampler you better off looking at a racksampler, a motif rack and keep the mpc2000xl or just switch to either Cubase or Logic. Then again, since you're selling stuff it can be hard to determin want kind of setup your building, so far it looks like your still playing around with gear because I couldn't possibly sell the mpc hehehe.

NAS THE REASON WHY IS THAT I WANT SOMETHING MORE POWERFUL....I LIKE THE FEEL OF KEYS...AND IT GIVES YOU A WIDER RANGE OF SOUNDS....TRUE THE MPC IS POWERFUL...BUT I WANNA MOVE ON TO SOMETHING NEW....THE MOTIF HAS SICKKKKKKKK SOUND AND YOU GOTTA HEAR IT....AS FOR THE MPC...IF I MISS IT THAT MUCH I WILL GET A NEW ONE....BUT I FEEL THE MPC IS ONLY GOOD FOR LAYING DOWN HOT DRUMS...I WANNA LAY A KEYBOARD TRACK OVER IT HOT DRUMS AND ITS A PAIN WITH THE MPC A KEYBOARD A MIXER AND ALL THAT OTHER S**T......I WANT IT ALL IN ONE AND AT MY FINGERTIPS..ALL IN ALL I THINK THE MPC IS A PAIN IN THE AZZZZ....1

You need to get sampling memory in order to use the motif. Depending on which one you get will determine how powerful ya shit is. I have the 512 mb and haven't even come close to using the full potential.

There aint no reason to get the 7. You can still use all the keys on the 6 with the octave shift. If I were you I'd get the ES6 and put the left over $ towards some other shit.
