i apologize if this problem has been talked about previously.

the situation is this.

when i sample something off a record from my record in on my mpc 60 there is alot of static and i can barely hear the sample in my monitors. all my levels on my dj mixer and on the MPC are fine. somebody i had talked to asked me if there is excessive noise when i move the record in cable around and indeed there is.

so my question is do i need some kind of shielded wire? if not then would someone mind telling me what it is i have to do.

thanks. i really really appreciate it.

What up,

You can:

- first, try a new or different cable. to connect the MP to the Turntable, see if anything changes, if not, then it's not the cable.

- second, try some contact spray, spray it on the plug of the cable, push it in and out, this may loosen some of the grime inside the MPC. If that doesn't make a difference, spray the contact cleaning spray (or simple rubbing alcohol) and put it on a qtip and rub it on the inside contacts of the MP record in

Try some differnet ish and reply.

One last thing, make sure you're using a mixer in between the MPC and the Turntable, the 60 can't sample direct from a turntable..
