haha this thread is turning into a discussion about good hiphop. well, whadaya know.....

Thats by no means a bad thing, lol...I'd have to say most of my favourite albums are instrumental ones - sometimes I can't help but feel that some things are more powerfull/beautiful when there are no vocals, it leaves the listener to interpret the song by themselves a lot more.

I'm checking out Skalpel at the moment [they're on Ninjatune] and doing a sort of cinematic orchestra type thing but really minimalistic.

Oh and Dj Cam [from France]..real heavy on the jazz sampling and really trippy. Sort of reminiscant of Dj Krush.

Blockhead's ish is nothing but pure heat. Dude is one of my favorite beatmakers.

I'm also banging that Rob Sonic album like there's no tomorrow.

It's crazy last night I came home from work and my wife (who's record collection consists of everything J. Lo, Justin Timberlake, and Britney Spears) was bumping my RJD2 Deadringer. Crazy.

I've also been into instrumental albums lately. To many rappers are full of it.

Aside from Sage and Slug there aren't very many emcee's that speak for the average dude.
