import samples?...or trigger....thats your best bet man, I mean there is a way to use your audio into fruity loops to act like a sampler and record from the fantom......but you got a good concept because I do not like the way construct songs on the fantom that was one of my reasons to sell mine....you pattern construction is going to be easier once you figure out the midi channels I used to do that with my mophatt module and fruity loops.....

Hey Ace don't knock it man, I mean if he don't have the money 4 logic....I made a lot beats with a module and Fruity loops...I also had a Fantom man.....the song construction part if you want to do a lot of arrangement sux.....At least on the X.....if you want to quickly make ya tracks and arrange them its better, you might not have had to deal with doing a lot of arrangement on it ....that was my # Reason for taking it back and copping the Triton X.....Just my 2 cents though...maybe if he aint doing a lot of arrangement the X was ok .....

yeah, for sure.

Thats my opinion though. If i had a fantom (and i have one this week fantom xr).
Personnaly i will use it with a digi 002.

I would sequence inside it or with a good sequencer software or mpc or such.

Fruity loop suck, there's a lot of precious tool missing, interface is non intuitive.

I think it's a waste to use a 3000$ keybord with a 30$ software.

If he could afford a fantom, i think he can afford software . you can have cubase for 200$ new.
