Rock Music and Samples

Does anyone know of any rock songs that have used samples and whether or not using samples in rock music is normal and have any examples of rock songs that use samples will be most appreciated

i cant remember that i heard once a rock song that was sample based, mostly when they use material from other artists they do a cover song (interpolation). but its worth a try why not creativity should not have barriers.good luck in finding your sound.

yeah ... gnarles barkley, lincoln park, rick ruben, and im sure many others use samples in their prodction...

its much rarer in rock music and usually less obvious but yea it happens

"Rock" is a very very broad genre. Drum samples and sequenced drums can be heard quite often. In indie rock, alternative rock, electro rock and whatever you can hear quite alot of samples.

They do alot of cover songs.. which is just like sampling.

How many times has creep from radiohead been redone..

and smooth criminal - alien ant farm.

and some rock group did a rock version of gin and juice............and not as a parody

etc.
