Y do some samples keep reapeting themselves even though there is only one icon on screen???

They probably have loop points set. Click on the sample tab to bring up the settings and un-check "use loop points".

that probably worked. however it is a handy tools to have stored at the same time with that one button. on the sample proporty screen there also is a knob in the "precomputed effects" section that allows you to set those loop points named "CRF". if you do alot of work in the playlist sample editing and such it can be handy at times.
