Remixing Tracks - Whats ur style?

Im trying to maximize how to create remixes lately i've always found the loop in the instrumental and import that into FL to find the Snare Points and from there I make the beat sometiems it soudns sick other tiems it doesn't even work.. Anyone know another way to do it with Cool Edit and FL?

Go out and buy records or CD singles with instrumentals on em.....
