I suscribe to both

Personally i think remix is a much better magazine. I mean dont get me wrong scratch is cool and all but it dont focus on the entire process of making music, its just about who is hot in the hip hop game right now. The informative article are far and few between, instead they have bullshit fashion reviews or some mothefucker tryin to show me how to cook (wtf??)

Remix on the other hand has very informative(advanced) articles on eletronic production tecqunies from all genere's. I feel its a more mature magazine. Not to mention is monthly and on fucking time(unlike scratch). I also cop tape-op(which is free to suscribe to) and thats has real dope info on how to record etc..

I also subscribe to both. Scratch is more of a lifestyle magazine, it's basically The Source except it focuses on producers. Scratch is for entertainment, it lays on the coffee table.

I actually keep Remix with my reference books.

Exaclty, ive either given or thrown away most of my scratch mags but i still use remix as a refernce to this day. The new remix (with MF doom on the cover) has a dope review of pro-tools mpowered which i just copped. Reading that article set me ahead 3 weeks of research....

If Remix talks about all genres of music, then i don't want anything to do with it, i don't want to buy a magasine where there MIGHT be pages about reggaeton....
