Before I get my load of questions, I just basically wanted to get a general idea of how many Sample based producers we have in here, because I have a load of questions. Some I've found in the beginning threads of this forum, others I have not.

Since we on the subject of Recycle......what's the quickest way to chop a sample? My process seems to take about 4 or 5 steps and takes too long. Here's how I do it:
1. Open mp3 or wma file using Sound Forge
2. Cut and paste only the portion of the file I want into a new file
3. Save partial file as a WAV file
4. Open newly saved WAV file with Recycle
5. Chop WAV file
6. Save file as REX file
7. Launch Reason and load file into Dr. Rex

That takes waaaaay too long. Is there a quicker way? Is Recycle the best "chopping" program to use?

or...

1. open logic, open exs24 and import the recycle file
2. open mpceditorv3 and import recycle file and export to mpc program
3. open fl slicer, import recycle file
4. slice loop and dump to sampler via scsi

recycle is not made for slicing whole tracks but loops till a reasonable length but just loops is best thing i also use more space for loop in order for recycle to point out its exact start and end of the loop or to adjust a loop in tempo.
