Hey, I'm doing some looking around as far as schools for recording arts go. I've checked out full sail, and I'm planning to apply there, but I would like to know what some other good choices would be. I don't care about cost, I'll worry about that when I'm looking at them, right now I just want to know whats available. Anything you can give me as far as ideas go would be great. Thanks in advance.

I was lookin at IAR about a year ago. I was really lookin into goin there. I even talked to some of the people there to get a walk through the placee some time. Then i got the letter sayin its $11,000. People say that aint a lot for a school, but i thought it was a joke. Think of all the shit i could buy with 11,000 dollars!

what you're paying for really is to have that security that the degree gives you... the money and effort you dedicate to getting that degree is a sure fire way to enhance you're ability to "get a job"

for artists, it really shouldnt matter where/ if you went to school. all that should matter is the Quality of the art...

For record producers, networking is crucial for success, and the Quality of the music he or she is producing can often play a role in the development of his or success...

Neither of these require a college degree...

But going to school will definitely provide an opportunity for networking, and who knows maybe you might actually learn something... lol

Or maybe you wanna go to school for something that almost gaurantees you a job when you graduate (there are such fields)... that way you can secure a decent job to support you as you follow your dreams of wealth through music

i woz gonna go to one of the big places that specialise in music e.g fullsail, SAE or woteva but i can't afford to go somewhere like that ! at the moment im deciding whether to go to a normal university and do a music tech degree because that way i can get loans to cover it or just not go at all !
