hey man i still dont know shit about reason even though i been usin it fo a minute... one thing i like about the redrum is the tone dial... i like using it with my kicks to make them sound right .... now is theyre a way i can attach or wire the tone dial to say another track ...like a bassline? i usually sample for bass but sumtimes i cant find something that fits so i have to resort to sythn basses .. but they never sound quite right.. i figure if could use that tone dial the same way i do on my kicks on my basslines too that would be butta ... can this be done? and if so how? ...good lookin

What format is the bass in? If .wav, you can just load it in the ReDrum too...otherwise, I don't know if you can attach it to another track.

if its wave just put it in the sampler u get much more control than the redrum thats how I do my bass, I dont even use the subtractor for bass anymore.

word. tha subtractors old news...tha xt had mad parmeters...for adjusting shit like that or simply changing tha tone, all you have to di is make sure that mod has its own channel somewhere on tha mixer and then use tha bass/treb pots to get tha desired sound...if thats not enough try attaching a ECF-42 and use a LP 12 or a LP24 setting with a bit of resonance...and maybe still possibly throw an eq on top of that to boost tha 20 somethin freaquncies...

if you can, you should go with the NNXT because you can do so much more shit with it. that thing is so versatile. if you can load your clip into that, go for it. then open up the lower part or it, and if you right click, you can do "select all patches" and then you can move the tone and transpose the whole thing up or down as much as you need. just make you sure select all patches cuz otherwise only that single note which you have selected will change.

i always use the subtractor for my bass, trus me , just tweak the knobs on it and eq it till u find what u want, it takes time to find a good sound but its worth it. and u can save ur patch for later use.

I find with the subtractor, if you put a little bit of unison on it, it sounds a lot better
