Sup peoples -

I been having this debate with others and been wandering what your input is on it:

With a high quality tube pre amp - would you be better off spending the 1g on this and tubing all your software synths to compete with analog and other VAs...

Or

Get the real analog synth (which runs under a G on ebay) as well as others...

Basically looking to get clean crisp sound - alot of these softwares arent doing it alone

so let me know what you think is best.

Im looking at getting a ATC-1 now, for bass and lead, and Virus C/XL - later for else.

and use with my yamaha and roland.

or....dont get nothing and just program reason and run with pre amps...etc

doesn't really matter if you know how to get the sounds you want, you know how to get them, thats all there is to it.

either way..using software or hardware synth, when your track gets mixed in a studio.. there gonna track it out through a preamp

it all comes down to preference but personally i like the sound of an analog synth and ive never tried combining my software synths with tube pre's.
