you should take the time to get into the cubase sequencer man.
it's a million miles more versitile, easier and quicker than the reason one.
and you can still use any of reason's sequencing devices while you're rewired to cubase, so you can keep using the step program in the drum machine if you want, cause reason is synced to cubase anyhow.
as long as you always trigger the song from cubase, you can use either sequencer or both (on different instruments) to trigger any of reason's sounds.
the best way to rewire it is to skip the reason mixer alltogether (it's a piece of shit anyway) and wire all the instruments straight through the reason hardware interface into the cubase mixer.
to answer your first question, no you can't do that.
you would still have to export the audio from cubase.
but I'd defo recommend learning to use the cubase sequencer.
