This is a radio interviewed that my brother and group member of Urban Legendz, did today @ Georgia Tech's College Radio Station WREK 91.1 FM. We've been really blessed the this week. We signed contracts last week with RCI for national Radio and trade publication promotion. We've had a few radio stations already pick up our first two singles "stuntin" and "A Town". We had a phone interview with WHTA Hot107.9 FM the number one hip hop station in Atlanta Tuesday morning. They're using the music to A Town on commecial drops for the morning show. They also did there normal 7:30 am birthday rap to the instrumental Tuesay and Wednesday which is unheard of in the Atlanta for unsigned artists.
Todays interview was actually the length of the 6 O'clock hip hop show at GT which last an hour(also unheard of). I'm not posting this to brag about what we're doing but to show those who are serious about doing this music thing what you can do to promote your music and or group. Radio interviews are unscripted and can go from 0 to a hundred in 60 seconds flat, so to speak. What I meaning by this is that you have to be prepared for what ever they throw at you and know a little something about the type of station and its audience. For those who know about GT, you know that its the top Engineering School in the Country. And I'm not talking about audio engineering either. You'll see what I'm talking about if you listen to this interview in its entirety. They can become alot more than just about your music and in some cases you have to take control of the direction that it goes. I think my brother did an excellent job of that. I edited it a bit to shorten it. Check it out if you have time. I'm sure some people can learn from it. B EZ!
