r&b artists to listen to?

i rarely ever ask anyone what to sample but right now, i've been on a heavy r&b vibe. kinda gettin off the jazz samples and i believe to be able to make the music, you have to understand it. that obviously happens if you listen to it. i have some knowledge of artists from the 90s and all that but ik forsure theres alot more doper stuff than jus mary j, brandy, swv and all them girls. so please, hook a brotha up.

I used to be into a lot of the 90's R&B but the recent stuff I don't know much, just random songs here and there that I find.
