The room is basically shaped like an L with 5 corners. I'm thinking about cutting off the room into two sections of two rectangles. One being the control room and the other being a vocal booth. Then again I'm looking at these new partitions that go around the mic so I won't have to build a vocal booth at all. Building specific rooms in a house make the house harder to sell should I ever decide to move. Other than sound proofing I may keep it as is and cop a few of these instead http://www.seelectronics.com/rf.html. They're only $299 which would save me a gang of money and keep my house intact.

Yeah, i hear those SE Reflexion Filters work pretty decent....

Dude, on a DIY tip heres something that works really well on a budget:
Cop a couple sound blankets...
Buy some PVC piping with some elbows, and t shape connectors...
Go to Target or Wallmart and cop some window curtain hooks, the ones with the ring and the clamp connected to the bottom....

U basically make a rectangular wall about as tall as u, and configure some feet to hold it up with the piping and then use the curtain hooks to grab onto the sound blankets, then u can literally move it around anywhere....

I did this at my last crib that needed better isolation and it worked like a charm.

I copped the sound blankets for 25 a pop from: http://www.tecnec.com/SearchProduct.asp?off=0&sort=prod
And got the rest of the goods from OSH.

Paid a total of like 80 bucks and made 2 portable iso-walls....

I might do one iso wall like u did along with the reflexion filter and then eggcrate foam the rest of the room with double sided tape. Since I have that office type floating ceiling they already make tiles for that. I'll replace every other tile above the control room portion of the studio. That, some corner wedges and bass blocks here and there should do me.
