Alright im on day 4 now, pretty much got it all figured out.

But i have one problem.

In the [Sequencer View] - I record the midi, and once its recorded i dub and re-record it as audio to the next track.

Once Im done, i drag BOTH clips to the [Pattern View] and i press play on their clip and it works fine. So imake enough clips and changes...and im ready to drag them back to [Sequencer View]

But when i drag a clip from [pattern view] to [sequencer view] - and press play on the Songs Transport...it plays to the loop..thru the loop...and after the loop..NO SOUND.

The clip itself...stays "faded" and im not sure why..cuz when i initially recorded it ..it was a deeper color.

So maybe i didnt click something over when i dragged it..or what..but i dunno ?

How do i fix this problem ?

The only way that works for me...is when i Arm [Sequencer View] to record - and I trigger the clip in [pattern view[ and it records back over...but that becomes a problem.

So i wanna know if there is a fix to this and can i just drag clips back and forth between the views.

BTW - the midi notes and audio waveform DO appear...even tho it doesnt play it.

Well thats a pretty intriquite question, but have u tried looking up top where u control your tempo, and use other tools yet?....Theres a little box thats like a arrow going around in a squarish-circle, this is for initiating the set amount of audio to loop....Also, while in arrange-view - if u click on the loop maker bar that connects the two markers at the top of the screen, u can move or expand the desired loop amount and points.....

I deleted my Ableton (actually bought some software) so I can't remember what the buttons exactly look like, but Duece is on point. I think clicking the OVR button, the button with the horizontal lines (just going off memory) or one of the buttons next those will correct the faded color problem and the track will play in arranger view.

Also, If you don't want the loop to keep playing over what you recorded in arranger view, you have to turn that loop off in session view or hit the OVR key or something like that.

Have you read the manual? It is easy to follow available for download at the ableton website I believe.

I used to just record in the session view and then edit in the arranger view.
