Wassup yall,,,,Yo, I wanna get a turntable for some scratches on my beats. Problem is, i sold my Technics awhile ago. I havnt been in touch with current types of Turntables. I dont have the money for Technic caliber, but I wanna know how some others are and maybe the prices if ya know! I seen some Numark Direct Drive Tables,,but how are they?

Yea, i got all Stantons right now too.

When Stanton came out with the Str8-150, everybody lowered there Stanton prices.

Stanton Str8-80...........$199
Stanton Str8-100.........$299

Numarks i just dont like for some reason. But there ok. Nothing wrong with em.

Numark TT-200...........$199
Numark TT-1650.........$169 (w/ crtrdge)
Numark TT-X1............$399

I had the Stanton Str8-50 (belt-drive) for a while, and after i got done with that, i could use anything because i had to be so light on the platter. I recommend Stanton unless its the Str8-30 or Str8-20.

check out www.hollywooddj.com . I got some stuff from there, the guy who runs the thing doesnt speak english real well, and he charged me $299 for 2x Gemini CDJ-20's a Gemini PS-545 PRO Mixer the Gemini PM-100 monitors and a custom case to fit it all! He made a big mistake, i ordered 2 Gemini CDJ-10's and a Gemini PMX-60 mixer!

All there prices are real low, but you have to call up 5,000 times before he picks up the phone.

but check it out.

PEACE

Most of the major manufacturers are producing turntables that are possibly better than the technics, but most of these come at quite a high price. Usually the same price as technics.

The cheaper turntables are OK, but they will not perform like the higher end decks. My advice is if your on a slight budget go for second hand 1200/1210MK2's. They're going dirt cheap on the second hand market nowadays.

Have you considered a mixer yet?

it's not a technics or anything, but for a budget they are oke and shame on you: NEVER SELL YOUR TECHNICS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Technics 1200/1210's that's it that's all.
Lol
Nah the high end numark (forgot the model#)
Is good for scratching . Im also a scratch dj / turntablist and have done routines with em . I would never do a party wit em tho the pitch is wierd(that's another story. Lol)

As for mixer ( even tho you aint ask)
The vestax o5 pro( about $300 usd now i believe) is the standard . But a stanton sk scratch mixer is just as good for studio scratching.
