Question for you hardware guys...

Got access to a Korg D3200 (word up, yo).

I would like to see if there is a way to use this with PT 8LE at the same time and even replace the MBOX altogether (since the D3200 has it's own preamp).

If so...is there a way to use the D3200 as the control surface for PT8?


If regular 8LE doesn't work, will m-powered work??

ok first you can't replace the mbox. You will need it to open pro tools, and no mpowered wont work as you will need maudio hardware to make that work. As far as controlling the mixer in pro tools with it. I believe you can do that. You need to set up MMC and you will use the midi in and out on your mbox.

What mbox do you have? Then I can give a better answer.

yea the d3200 does record just wave file so you should be able to get them in to your computer and just import them in to pro tools in one swoop.

But if it was me I would sell the d3200 and get an 8+ input audio interface so I would not have to leave the computer. I mean if you sold the 3200 and the mbox you could get a 003 you know.
