HEY here's a tip

When you throw a record on the turntable and start listening.....

How long do you listen to each track? Do you listen to the entire thing? Skip through it?


Man..I had the record "The Ink Spots Greatest Hits". I shit you not, the entire album was the same melody, just pitched differently and at somewhat different tempos.....I only listened to the first side...and it's becoming a chip bowl. LOL (I saw someone do that shit online, looks tempting).

I've been there with records...

I can usually tell (with the exception of Jazz because u never know) if a record has what i'm looking for within the first 30 seconds of listening. I usually look at the bands of the records because the lighter or darker the grooves in the records are, u can see the breaks. Most drum breaks come at the beginning or the middle too. That's my science man. And remember, the most annoying record could have that "loop" on it so don't sleep on anything. Dig all music..i have found some hot shit on folk records too like Joan Baez....
