Do you use Quantize when you punch in your drums with an MPD/Trigger Finger?

i usually do, in some cases i will punch it in without quantize, then go in and quantize notes that are too off, and leave some, but usually i quantize them since i beleive i have a couple ms of latency

Yeah thats what i do. I read somewhere that you should not quantize you hi-hats.

I think it depends on the track you are doing. Sometimes I quantize my hi hats sometimes i don't.

yeah i agree it really depends on the flow of the track if quantize or not.

I mostly just correct things manually a few ticks if it's too off.

I don't, i use to use quantize alot when i 1st started then just stopped i like the human error.

Quantizing is too structured and limits you from the style you can create without it. If you need to quantize your paq hits, theres no point in using the pad in the first place.
