Quality Improvement

Question for all... I want to get my mix and mastering quality the highest I can so when I bump it, it sounds amazing out the speakers. I know that professionals have pro equipment and pro-mastering. I currently use Fruity Loops, but I am upgrading to the MBOX 2 now. I am also considering an akai MPC? Is the quality a lot better with an AKAI then on a PC?

if u cant make a good sounding mix on software then hardware will not change it. with time and experience u will get better.study the master of the game and check their frequency spectrum filter diffrent bands and see whats going really down.

learn about rolling off, then you can make shit sound good out of any speaker, regardless of the software/hardware

rolling off the eqs? but ya thats what id say to. fl sucks dick without adding fx. EQ EVERY CHANNEL. that improved my sound quality a lot. and then compress kicks and all that good stuff too.
