Pug back in the game...

I sold my dusty ASR-10 and will be purchasing Maschine later this week. I am pumped, it's been years since I've made anything... can't wait!

I do have a valid reason for this post however. Right now my computer only has onboard sound, and am currently looking to get a soundcard. Can anyone recommend one that works best with Maschine? I don't want to spend too much, maybe 100-150$ max. Let me know!

notebook or desktop? mac or pc? for pc desktop i'd always go with the audiophile 24/96. it's rock solid, low latency, and you can get it for as low as 60-80 bucks.

If you have an mbox...that works as well... I haven't had any issues with it (I'm using the mbox2mini).

cosign, thats what im using right now...picked it up in the bundle with mic / headphones or w.e but same interface. Works perfect w/ maschine, actually worked better than my http://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/FastTrackPro/ which is still more expensive than the audiobox , been out for a while now.

I would say the audiophile 192, just like the 24/96 but 24 bit and 192 khz sample rate. Great low latency too, mine runs at 6ms on ASIO 2 at the full 192 khz. I think its a little bit more expensive than the 24/96 but i think the better sample rate is worth it. Analog and midi through breakout cable and digital I/O through S/PDIF. Also comes with 64 bit windows drivers. The big downside though is no headphone output. That really doesnt matter though as you can use the headphone output on the amp.
