i have a question for any PROTOOLS masters out there.....i would like to know how do you find the "Region" properties....what i mean is this....in SONAR once you record a sound or whatever....you can right click on that region and it will tell you the properties....like the exact time frame ...... like 08:04:167.......so if you want to copy and paste it is real easy to see exactly where to paste the new region.....is there any way that you can see that same time in PROTOOLS

just highlight the region and look in the time readouts. it will tell you the start, end and length times for that region.

it has whatever you want depending on what you have selected as the main time scale in the rulers (highlighted in blue) e.g. bars and beats, mins and seconds, samples etc.

im not sure if you're familiar with this feature, but if you have pro tools in SPOT mode (instead of slip, grid, shuffle), you can just Command (could be option, control, can't remember) and drag the region, and a dialog window will appear, and ask you if you want your region to go to its original timestamp, or a new one. So rather than reading the timestamp and placing it manually, it does it for you. check it out!
