the sample was to guess what kind of machine they have used/created. Like is it a new sampler, synth, fx or filter. You should guess what the new auxilery is.

right. but could you make an educated guess from the sample? just saying the sample didn't help in figuring anything out.

I dunno, I haven't checked the samples but you can distinguish a sampler from a synth, but they would be bastards if they'd sampled a synth phrase with sole purpose of letting nobody win that contest hehehe. I will check in later on those samples but I guess there's a feature in the sample that would stick out from the other parts in the sample. So guess what that is.
