When you looked in Device Manager, did you see any of those yellow question marks? What about trying the "Add New Hardware" wizard? What kind of modem, is it a regular dialup modem?

OK, heres tha deal:
Its a Creatix V.90 HaM Modem - internal dial up. (this thing came with tha computer and ironically there is no driver disc!)

I went to Creatix's homepage and found tha appropriate driver for tha modem but this still doesnt help much considering tha modems no where to be found?

Fade: When i look in tha device manager there is no ! points but there is one device with a ?, but im almost definite that its not my modem...Also, so far u gave perfect advice but im still stumped cuz i tried tha add hardware wizard also and no plug and play devices are found!...Then it lets u pick from a list and tha list doesnt contain my freakin modem.? What do i do?

Wings coming through once again! Let us know what happens. I know it's a pain when using the Add New Hardware wizard, it never really works for me either, lol. Isn't there an option for some sort of generic, default modem?

Anyway, let us know.

Wings yer a life-saver! Ok, tha PCI device in tha device manager tree was tha modem that needed to be installed strangely enough!?....I kept ignoring it since i thought it was something else that didnt have to do with a modem since normally when u look in tha device manager tree yer modem will blatently be displayed as "modems" and then u can press tha + sign and see tha modem u have...Well, that never existed in tha tree!?....So i used Wings new info and since that was ironically tha only dam thing that still needed drivers i messed with tha hardware wizard once again but this time told it to look for that PCI thing and it worked!!!...It suddenly gave me this list of V.90 HaM modems so i knew this was right!...I selected tha right modem and it installed tha appropriate drivers and all is fine again! - Whats retarded tho, is after tha shit was installed tha PCI device in tha dam Device manager changed to "modems"!?!?!...What i was looking for all along!

Thanks for tha help Wings! - It was right under my dam nose!

YO!...Its soooo fuckin nice to have a fresh PC! - Man, for real! - I suggest that anyone on here that is like me and uses their computer as their primary tool to make music otta consider reformatting on occasion to make that bitch run smoother...Man, its soo, nice now! - Its like super duper fucking fast and i still got mad room to fill since i partitioned my drives out this time. See cuz if yer like me, after a long time u start to install rediculous amounts of vsts, prgms, everything! - and even tho i might do a little inventory on occasion to clean out a few prgms or files im not using, its like u jus forget about all that other shit, u kno tha stuff u over look that u otta remove but u forget about or u figure ur gonna use some time but u never do, lol.
Anyways, my shits streamlined now so im happy! - Back to makin beats but even more effeciently now! :)
