i'm having this repeated problem with recording midi data using a usb keyboard into a pattern... i have it set to record in pattern mode, and set to merge recorded notes, so i can continually overdub parts on one channel (like doing bass drum first, then snares, the usual). basically what happens is i have a 4 bar loop over which i'll record some drum parts while it loops, which seems simple enough. but after i finish, it seems like an extra bar has been added after the 4 bar loop -- so when i listen back, it plays the 4 bars, then 1 bar of silence, then back to the beginning. first i thought it was notes getting recorded on the piano roll after the end of the loop, but i double-checked and there's nothing there -- it's just playing an extra bar on the piano roll???

it's getting really aggravating cos i just wanna hear the loop, the bar of silence is pretty annoying and i have no idea how to get rid of it!

anybody got any clues?

ill o.g.
make sure that the last note isn't crossing over into the next bar, it might be really small

thanks man, i think that was the problem. apparently my midi controller was recording some weird junk after the end of the 4 bar loop, so i just had to track the notes down and get rid of them. thanks for the help...
