Pro Tools 8LE and OSX Mavericks

Anyone know if upgrading to OSX Mavericks is not allowing PT 8 to work?


I know…I know…PT 8 is old as fuck….but I love it and it works for me…….

Avid said that they don't have any files to make it work with it…….but they also said that protools 8 wouldn't work with Mountain Lion, either………then they released a patch for it.


Someone in an apple forum said that it works, but I've heard differently….any confirmations?

Cant confirm bro but i think it'll install and open... but not necessarily work. You will have issues with 32 bit plugs and also midi files will probably bug out. Not to mention a constant 720 error every time you load a few plugs. I was a big fan of 8 myself but have upgraded to 10 and love it! Avid make an expensive DAW but its worth it in my opinion.
