sort of like what they have on macintosh? like where you click on a file and then in the window the little quicktime bar pops up and you can just preview the thing without any hassle.. i been looking for something like this too but haven't found anything yet..

to my knowledge what you lookin for don't exist. You can use a player like Winamp and set it to not pop up over all other windows when you open a file.

so it will be running but the only place you'll see it is the taskbar and you can just keep click w/e files you want and they will play. If you never used winamp, try it out cuz it kills other stuff like windows media player for audio

i mean i know when i'm looking through my drum sounds in FL studio it'll preview each file as I select them, but it don't really work (to my knowledge) when selecting say, a full song..

because sometimes i dont know what beat or sample is in a folder, and i want to figure that out quickly without having to load the session or open winamp

windows 98 and 2000 used to do that. when you clicked on a file in a folder a play button would pop up to the left in the folder in the detals.
i was kinda upset they took that out.

there might be some kinda of folder add ons?
