Hi! i resently signedup to this sight bt hav bn making beats for a while now.my only prob as been that im short of tight hip hop kicks.if anybody out there could kindly offer some or any sites where i could find'em i would b greatful.....

eat beans take a walk to the park,go back to the lab then straight fart into your mic record that shit compress/eq/filter it maybe a lil pitch and there u go your brand new PHAT dry 808 BASSdrumKick.haha! nah just kiddin

seriously...

start with a phat kick sample as your starting point (chop it from vinyl or wuteva) then boost some low freq 50hz-150hz filter/eq/compress/fx/pitch (process it) until u get that sound u like.

My man, the net is where you should look for sounds... that and records...

If you have Audition (the new Cool Edit), ProTools, Audacity, Sonar, Soundforge... you can chop up sounds from any beat you have in digital format (like mp3 and Wavs... but quality wise, mp3s are lacking...)

Man, you got to use your imagination. Pick up a stick and a bucket or carboard box. Beat it until the stick breaks but you got to Mic it and record. Eq, compress, process and process some more. The means is endless. Iy just up to you to do the challenge. I know Africa got boxes and buckts.
