Premo is the man. Fade, I personally don't think his style is predictable, (don't think I'm being an ass lol, I'm just not sure what you meant by that,) but his style is making each beat have like, a classic melody. His melodies always remind me of something I've heard before, (eventhough most are old songs, I've never really listened to anything but rap,) and I just love his shit. His beats are top 3 if not the best.

I think primo's stuff may sound like something you have heard before, or like inrctyhoodmusic said, something he did earlier this year, because you can catch him using sounds he likes over and over again. I can't come up with an example off the top of my head but I do remember recognizing certain sounds and realizing he used those on other tracks. Not that its illegal or anything. He also has a certain formula.

I shouldn't call it a formula, I guess you can call it his preference. Almost all his beats have a basic boom bap pattern and then all his samples are built around that. I noticed this after trying to bite his style like on every track I did...

I have never seen him in a 1 on 1 battle but he has some of the best cutt'n skills I have ever heard. Listen to the end of Jeru's Come Clean and you can hear primo tearing up the Onyx sampe they use for the chorus. Same thing on BIG's Unbelieveable. At the end he starts fuck'n up that R Kelly sample. Absolutely bananas. I don't know of you can compare that to the kind of shit Babu does but Primo is mos def one of the best to me.

Knockout, I meant that when you hear a beat by Premier, most of the time you can tell it's him because he uses the same patterns and formulas like Ominous said.

I just saw the video for the song and it's dope. I like the mic hanging all throughout the video, lol.

This is not a personal attack on you knockout but premo is very predictable he find somthing to sample that know one has heard but he puts the same drum pattern behind it..I understand it may be his trademark sound but it makes every thing sound the same and to say his beats are top 3 or the best may be going too far because he has the same kick and snare in ever beat and the same pattern every beat
