It's amazing how oblivious people are. They think that new music only comes out in cd's. But they also only listen to kenny g or hall & oates. BUt I love it though because those same people will give away 45's and lp's for nothing because they have no use for it, and then record mongers as ourselves can reap the benefits.

Exactly.

Not just like when your diggin, but i was doin some djin shit and my gramma comes in the room says: Hey, is that on the record?" (i was playin 50 cents shit) "I didnt know they still make those..."

I dont think they ever stopped making them. The labels were still makin vinyl when hip-hop came around, then the hip-hop people kept puttin it on vinyl even after cd's came out.

WHAT YOU KNOW ABOUT DAT DER YOUNG BWOY??????

You know, I understand that young people just aren't tough with their history now and days, but if you hear me listening to Earth Wind and Fire then it's clear apparent that I know something about it. I'm sorry, I just hate stupid questions.

You know, 98% of my family doesn't even know that make music. And most times, I feel it's best that it stays that way.....

I don't tell anyone. Well, for the most part... People always take it like I'm using that as a miniature claim to fame or something.... "You the one that asked, fucker!"

and my family is the shit for the fact that they all listen to the same shit that I listen to (older music) and they're always telling me if i flipped something in a fly way or whatever.

Plus my mother has the fattest vinyl collection.

werd man i get that all the time. this lady came to me and asked my age when i was djin a party 1 time. i was 20 i think. i told her... she would not beleive it.. the women refused to beleive i was 20 and playing the classic music i was playing and on vinyl. lol

i started djing doing mobile when i was like 14 playing soul funk and disco for the 35 and up crowd.... and moms always played music around the house from the 60's on up so its just in me. im 23 now....

ACK. My pet peeve would have to be when a very wack, seemingly mentally challenged nimrod of a beatmaker attempts to 'impress' me by proving he can knock out a beat in 10 minutes, salivating profusely over a sonic deafening mess extending from his fingertips and onto the pads of his drum machine.

Sorry, I just witnessed that @ right track studios...::vomiting in mouth::

I'm fellin you Rilla, I get that all the time. 1 of my pet peeves is when somebody comes in my room, looks at my record collection and be like "Why the hell you got this" or "Who is that!" It's like a person like me is not allowed to be diverse.
