Something I've been meaning to vent about for a long time - hearing stories of kids that had a birthday and no one showed up so the whole city has a goddamn parade with fireworks for the kid to make him feel better.

When I was 7 I invited a bunch of friends over for my birthday and no one showed up. What did I get? Nothing. That's life. Suck it up, bury it and keep pushing it down until you hit 40 and have a complete meltdown.
