Paying for a mix?

Just curious if anyone has payed a professional to mix their stuff? I'm tempted to try it as an experiment, just not sure if it's worth the expense, or what the process is like. I had a look at soundbetter.com but those guys are way out of my budget!! Is there anywhere else worth checking out?

I @Frankie_Lee haven't used SoundBetter at all but I'm not opposed to doing so at any point.
