I knew this from taking a business class on music. Puffy uses some cheap tactics to swindle as much out of his artists as possible and takes the shine.

Unless you're already a Super Star, if you get down with Puffy or Jermaine Dupri you deserve to get screwed! Those two have been outed for years but these "wanna be stars over night" artist continue to sign with them for the possible quick rise to fame. Who have these dudes signed in the past that made it big and are "loyally" still signed with them?

Puffy's last 5 or more artist barely make it thru the first album and if they do they always crumble on the second. They should put everybody he's ever signed on "where are they now"!

I wonder if there is some method to the madness. It's almost like they don't care how it effect their brand. I stopped rocking Sean john once all those Making The Band shows started dropping because I felt the level of quality in the music was in a serious spiral downwards. After G.Dep disappeared and Black Rob's last album came out... I just stopped paying attention to Puffy.

How does Puffy not worry about how he looks?

The amount of money and total control of his label is what will make him not care. The more entwined into his signed artists works he gets the harder it would be to dissolve him out of the picture. Puffy is no Hip hop legend. Puff is a business legend for pulling out all the stops and headbutting everything.

meh never been a PD fan, he only messes with mush mouf artists cuz he is mush mouf.
