as for what this post was SPOSED to be about...... VST plugins are the way to be. I use a whole buncha different ones to create whatever sound i need. from strings and pianos to basses and synths, if you know somethin about programming a few choice pieces of VST u can get whatever sound u need. when i hear a sound in my head i can usually break it down into what kinda program, what kinda effects, etc.

that's dope man and is something I'm hoping to be able to get good at over time. any VSTs that you recommned highly?

Check out the forums at www.kvr-vst.com, they have a VST finder that will let you sort by the extremely important criteria... FREE. Also long threads answering your question abound. Direct links to the sites, reviews galore. Just don't forget tomake music while you're auditioning plugins.

yeah sound designers and say you want a violin.If you got dough you can have a violin player come in and play multiple riffs for you to use.
