One of my Stanton 120c is acting up, any turntable experts here?

Ok so it seems I only get audio out of one side and a tiny bit of audio out of the right side. I of course did all the standard trouble shooting new head shell, cartridge ,cables, etc Stanton wants like $150 for repair and with shipping would put me close to a new one or a nice used 1200. I am pretty darn handy with a soldering gun, so I figured I would tear in to it and try and find the problem. But before I do I figured I would ask here if anyone had any ideas. Thanks!

Sometimes if I had a static sound it would be the inside of the tonearm where you put the headshell, but for your problem since it's the sound less on the right side, sounds like the RCA cables. How old is the table?

oh man the table is like 4 years old and I have tried different RCA cables. man it sucks!

In my experience and having a lot of friends with different tables, Ive found that Stanton tends to really cut corners on their lower end products...I think they just dont make em very good. I got a STR8-30 and its just aiight. I got ProCos connected from the table to my little DJPre to my MP and the cables alone helped a little but not a ton. Everything on that table jus seems clunky and cheap, but Im content since I only dropped a bone on it...

That's it, it could just be that it's poor quality, or maybe you just got a bad one, but after 4 years it shouldn't be like that anyway.

After all the things you replaced didn't fix it, I would say go ahead, take it apart and re-melt all your solder joints. That definitely can't hurt if youre good with a soldering gun.

Well it is Stanton's top of the line table, not there low end. I actually like the 120c over the 1200's

Word, jus saying...I dont own any of the higher end models, ive just never been truly impressed with the quality of their products is all, but their priced to sale so I couldnt pass up on coppin one.
