OMG guess what I saw tonight!

I was on my way to Belle Province (burger spot here in MTL) to get some hot dogs and fries and guess what.....

I'm stepping through the ice and snow on the sidewalk when all of a sudden I see little broken pieces of vinyl! Some asshole smashed a vinyl record all over the sidewalk and left it there for all to see.

I almost fell to my knees, gripping the smashed pieces in my hands, looking up at the sky with tearful eyes, yelling out "WWWHHYYYYYY???". But I didn't want to get my jeans dirty so I just got my food and went home before it got cold.

Haha thats funny man cuz I saw the same thing right outside my crib two days ago. I got more pissed when I realized that it was garbage day, so it was probably the garbagemen who stepped and cracked one of the many records that some fool was throwing away. I say this because about 3 years ago I picked up about 100 soul records right outside the crib. Man!! I wish I was out there the night before to see if what I suspected was true.

Yeah man, even if it was a wack record it could be great to someone else and have mad samples in it...that shits like blasphamy in tha producer game....lol....You know whats crazier tho? Fade jus droped a thread to jus talk to us...lol....what a great site this iz....hehe

yo my day was typical. i chopped the kit and loaded them into the mpc.

no beatmaking today though. today im playing my weekly tennis match and then some street ball.

MAN THAT AINT NOTHIN... THIS PAST YEAR I DESTROYED NEARLY MY WHOLE ARCHIVE OF TRACKS AND DIDNT EVEN SAVE 70 PERCENT.. I USED TO HAVE OVER 500 TRACKS WAITING FOR VOCALS AFTER MY FILTERING PROCESS I DECIDED THAT MOST OF THEM WOULD HAVE TO GO... SO WUT I DID WAS TOOK EACH CD.. GAVE THEM THE RUN THRU... AND IF IT DIDNT IMPRESS ME.. SQUEEZED THE ENDS OF THE CD TOGETHER UNTIL THE CD CRACKED DOWN THE MIDDLE AND WAS RENDERED USELESS... THEN I WOULD THROW IT IN THE TRASH AND GRAB THE NEXT CD... THIS PROCESS WENT ON UNTIL I HAD DWINDLED MY ARCHIVE DOWN TO LESS THAN 100 TRACKS... TO PUT IT IN PERSPECTIVE... I USED TO HAVE A FULL WALL LOAD OF CDS... I WOULD MAKE A CD AND PIN IT ON MY WALL (BACK THEN THERE WAS ABOUT 25-30 CDS UP THERE)... NOW I HAVE 4 CDS ON MY WALL ... MOSTLY OF TRACKS MADE WITHIN A 7 MONTH PERIOD... IVE BEEN PRODUCING SINCE 98' AND SOME OF THOSE TRACKS WERE WITH ME SINCE THEN...

back when i used to battle (dj), while i was getting ready for my set, i remembered that one of my records was slightly warped; so i started bending it a lil bit to correct the warp (which i did all the time in practice any way) .. then ..... well less than two minutes from my set, my fuckin record shattered in my face.... great timing, i know.

damn man. totally whack. pointless destruction of good vinyl. and Tarks, that musta totally fuckin sucked. lol. i woulda cried. hahaha

I hate that when people throw away vinyl, it makes no sense to me (and the rest of us!).

Mikelabz, no I couldn't see the label, it was probably buried in the snow.

Tarks, that happened to me too! Hahah a record was warped so I started bending it a little and SNAP. I was going to play it that night at a house party so I went back to the vinyl spot and got a new one, which wasn't warped.
