alright ive been a user of reason for a little over a year now and ive honestly never learned everthing tha program can do though...i mean i never took tha liberty to find out how everything works - something we all should really do to better manipulate whatever software or hardware we use...but anyway - like every other program ive owned i may skim tha manual but never really read tha thing - you know?...So ive been reading about stuff and i actuall y have learned more than i thought i would...but im kinda stumped on something that tha manual cant seem to clarify - i wanna know how convert patterns into notes on tha sequence table so that their mapped out and i can see them and cutem up from there....For a year now ive just tought myself my own little way of rockin tha show but ive never taken advantage of every-everything...so i started dabbling on pattern programing instead cuz up until now i have always mapped everything out by pencil and never fucked with tha old school modeled drum machine setup - but ive been checkin it out lately and its not too bad.
the only benefit i really see though with patterns is you can program in 1/16 or higher with ease instead of before with tha pencil but it just seems too easy.

So...after my life story.lol.....how do you convert your pattern automation to sequencer table???
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

alright...yeah your on tha right track...heres tha deal - i just switched from entering my drum data manually with tha pencil, and instead like you described on the pattern lane..............
the problem is i want convert the data in tha pattern lane to the sequence table like where i normally draw tha shit in...
i hope that helped to clarify!?
im not even sure if this is physically possible, i just thought it might be.

I think I know the answer to your question, but I'm a little mixed up on what you're saying...can you clairfy it a little...do you want to see your drum pattern on the keyboard scale? or do you want to record your pattern automations?... ie: turning knobs, switchin for A1>B3....

so you want to copy your pattern in the (drum lane) > (key lane)
ie: make a piano play your pattern like it was a drum...

if that's not what your talkin about then: Here's my answer anyways...
you can copy your manually(penciled in) pattern to any of these places by selecting(highlighting) the pattern then right click(goto copy)then left click in the area you want to paste it in (ie:key lane or the rex lane, those are the only 2 besides the drum lane) and right click(goto paste)...I hope this answers your question....Good Luck....if you have anymore, let me know....

thanks fer tha tip cope....

yo freak...yeah, thats pretty much what im gettin at...

this shits a tough one huh!?!...i dont know...its hard to explain.

but yeah....like im already hip to the fact that you can copy your drum lane that you penciled in and then paste it in another device like tha sampler etc....but i cant do that with tha pattern lane! basically cuz theres no notes to copy....so im trying to figure out if its possible to convert the pattern lane into notes that i can copy later to another device like tha sampler...i hope that helps!?

tha yellow pattern lane on tha redrum(A1,A2)....underneath tha velocity lane and the sequencer lane that i want to put tha pattern data onto and then translate to other instruments later.

the whole problem is i cant copy the yellow drum patterns that i made into anything else like tha sampler or whatever...i used to do it all the time when i used only tha pencil, but this is different being that there arent any individual pencil marks to copy.

i was right... but it only wrk for things that can be automated...things with the keypad (ie: the matrix and Redrum)...it has no effect on any devices w/o that keypad.

u can though copy your drum pattern and make the NN-19 play it... all you have to do is goto Edit Mode of the ReDrum click the keylane button and highlight and copy the notes and paste the notes to the keylane for the NN-19.... One of these should answer your questions...

yo thanks for tha help and ill def. hit you up if i need help again.
peace homie.
