The Bay Area's own Hip Hop ambassador, E-40 announced earlier this month that he plans to release two separate albums on the same day. Titled Revenue Retrievin' The Day Shift and Revenue Retrievin' The Night Shift, the pair will make up his 11th and 12th full-length albums respectively.

E-40 took a small hiatus after releasing The Ball Street Journal in 2008, and will work with independent label Heavy On The Grind Entertainment to release his upcoming albums. Mistah Fab, Clyde Carson, Gucci Mane, and Messy Marv are just a few names who will appear on the project.

Revenue Retrievin' The Day Shift and Revenue Retrievin' The Night Shift are expected to hit shelves on Mar. 30.

East Oakland Rap veteran Too Short, who will also feature on one of E-40's thirty-eight tracks, recently announced that his upcoming studio album Still Blowin' will see an April 6 release. The project will be added to Short's impressive list of 18 other albums, six of which went platinum or higher. It will be the first full-length LP released on his independent label Dangerous Music, and will feature Cash Money's Baby, Lil Jon, Jazze Pha, and others. Still Blowin' will be a full digital release.

Sacramento emcee Brotha Lynch Hung is also coming off of a long hiatus with his newest album, Dinner and A Movie. The project will be his first since 2003's Lynch By Inch. It will also be the first of a conceptual trilogy that he will release in the fall.

Inspired by the Horror genre, the album presents Hung as possessing a split personality. He acts as an average man by day, and a rapper-killer by night, a none-too-inconspicuous ode to the Jekyll and Hyde complex. In addition, the rapper has teamed with director Dan Gedman to film several videos for the series.

"This is the first time this has ever been done," Gedman said in a statement. "We are visually bringing this character to life, and then Lynch is going to write the next two albums. It's an interactive process. Now he has to lyrically revisit the character and story, knowing what it all looks like."

The first installment of Hung's three-part series, Dinner and A Movie, will release under Tech N9ne's Strange Music label in March.

Additionally, Andre Nickatina's Khan: The Me Generation, Spice 1's Home Street Home and Richie Rich's Town Bidness are due, however details are sparse on all three at this point.
