alot of times in this forum we forget that two things go into a song...the music element and the human element...outkasts might have chessy sounds or whatever but when it coomes together with there performance it sounds brilliant. the beats only half of it really. its about creative enrgy and freakin shit the right way for a dope final product.....it pains me to say this, but the traditonal hip hop beat style is slowly fading....at least in america anyway......look around....rap sounds like rock.....rock sounds like rap.....its all starting to mesh and interweave....kast is one of the groups at the forefront of this phenomena....producing isnt just about makin headnoddin beats anymore.....its bout makin a dope product..kast does that very nicely

Personally I think the Horz are always tight...it's how you use them, I don't listen to people that tell me a certain sound isn't in or its not what people like to hear.....as a producer you gotta cut against the grain not produce what the next man does or try to sound like them....you make the sounds work for you thats what I think, thats the part of being a producer...I bet if say Kanye found a way to use hornz cheesy or real...I can't tell the diff if you listen to a triton horn or a real one from the 70's, trust me that will be the in thing...LOL!

Outkast has lost me since "So fresh, so clean"...it just got too 'funky' for me. Only thing that makes me happy is that Big Boi wants to go back, where Andre doesn't, and that's the reason that they made a solo album each and put it together to make an Outkast album. Had that not happened, Andre would have gone solo...so hopefully I will hear some Outkast, how I liked them, from Big Boi or they will fade away...either way I'm satisfied because Andre's shit doesn't appeal to me at all. I don't mind experiementing but Andre (and also Common) took too big steps for me to appreciate...

hey, just heard the new disk..... andres disk has some very good beats (half ar ecxellent, the rest.... nevermind) ....

but...... ANDRE DOESNT RAP THROUGH THE WHOLE THING. what the hell is wrong with this guy? it isnt bad, just... weird... i thought the new album was very brave and innovative and i find it refreshing... they tried to do something off the wall and pulled it off in my opionion..to like this album u gotta be a fan a fan of all music..not just hip hop ..i listen to everything.....u hear elemts of every genre on this album...its like all styles of music got thrown in a blender and set to puree..im really enjoying this album
