O.k. after hearing this song, it got me not looking forward to the album... I would maybe at the least had downloaded it and skimmed through it with no real big expectations.... but after hearing the Green Lantern mixtape today, DAMN. That mixtape is some of the hardest shit I ever heard from Nas....

I am actually excited to hear the album now... Hopefully it compares to the build up. We'll see.

to honest i feel dat da song is a bit not like him we picture the nas as the person who spoke to us in "illmatic" and "it was written". But illmusik can do like a hiphop ain't dead thang wid beats like them dahm would da remix be hot.

I think nas is a good biographical writer! I hope I'm using the right word. He seems to want to educate people. But personally he has disappointed me. He insults black leaders in the song at a time when we might have the first black quarterback to win the superbowl. Making a connection to Public Enemy those that are true hip hop heads know what I'm talking about. What we might have the first black leader to rule the free world. Nas please be tactful man. Maybe when Obama wins he can redeem himself and release a tactful album about Black History.

Lyrics are overshadowing that track by miles, there is something about this joint leaves me sort of empty though and again it could be that track, I will listen some more but I am going to get that green lantern joint and listen to it, NAS is the goat on wordplay and writing and since his time came and went many after have borrowed and bit so much from his style and delivery methods it minimizes what he is nowadays in some respects because people buying records and dj spinning are looking for different things in hip hop nowadays that don't really speak to reality, social issues and building together as people against the machine the mindset to make good shit is entirely out of focus but maybe NAS can instill what it is again with the album.
