i just paid 2500 plus taxes for a triton studio........

i read a thing about it and it didnt impress me all that much, i think the best thing about it is that it comes with a bunch of sound cards instaled, thats nothing special though.
it should have more individual outputs...

does it come with a internal cd/rw drive?

i was gona get the new triton but i could wait so i just got the motif Es and im very happy the one thing i was thinking about was this state korg made "The triton ex is a replacement for the triton classic and the Studio is still the flag ship". Then i notice the korg stated that it has 40 mb of new rom...im not tech guy but the studio devoted 16mb to single piano sample and i would think that inorder for the triton to even compete with the motif sound wise the other 14 mb would have to be devoted to more accoustic sounds not brand new sounds. Other than that the triton also will only the rest of the 120 mbs of its rom come from pcm boards(the best sounds of the boards). I do think the new triton is gona be good i never put down other boards cause i may not agree but i feel the motif ES is really a different monster than the motif classic and i was affraid the new triton is gona be alot of the same old same just more and a few tweak sounds or reprogram. In order for the motif ES to get the sound it has now it had to put a new chip inside of it...the first motif came out back in 01 or 02 and well the triton came out back in 98 or 99 so there using the same sound engine which means they can only do so much with it. I also think with the fact you can only exspand the new triton with only a moss board this has got to be the end for the triton line and the only thing that will be carry over to the next workstation is the moss board. So my dream of owning a triton i had to put on hold and just sale my classic motif and get the es. I have feeling korg will release a all new work station by 2005. Also the triton has just be use to much. In the end i wanted to be different and triton something new.
