Viewed Notorious movie.

As a hip hop fan, I loved it. It provided a visual to legendary moments in Big's rise.

Gravy's best work in this movie was capturing Big's rap cadences and flow - in this
flick he became Biggie. Similar to Ray, They didn't use voiceovers and have the actor lip synch the track,
a lot of the studio stuff was Gravy rapping it and it was authentic.

It also gave me a new perspective on stuff I never really considered such as:

What was Big's reaction when he first heard Hit Em Up? The movie goes into those details.

What was the relationship between Kim and Big w/ all the other women/Faith around?

How did D-Roc end up doing time for Big so he could end up starting his career?

How did Puff and Big get along. Puff is KNOWN for snapping on people and losing his temper
when working. Strangely enough, Big was the only person who he didn't really argue with.

You also get to see that Big basically was the catalyst to launch Bad Boy.

They re-enacted a lot of classic moments, I sung along to a lot of the lyrics in the flick.

I liked how they went into the making of JUICY.

The Howard Homecoming concert was absolutely a classic moment.

The guy who played Puff absolutely nailed his movements and energy.
The theater laughed collectively everytime he did the signature Puffy dance in the movie.

It's just strange yet refreshing to see events that you grew up watching play out on screen.

I will say this: If you are a Hip Hop fan, and you watch this movie, you will listen to Big's music
(especially the 1st album) with a whole different viewpoint and appreciation.

The movie provides the backdrop and circumstances that serve as the "canvas" for the audio
portraits he laid down.

They could've made this a documentary and I would've loved every bit of it but they tied it together
into a movie with an underlying theme/message.

Pun is probably the greatest lyricist in our time. Hands down. Capitol Punishment was on a whole other level. I feel what you sayin, but Biggie's flow was fuckin bananas son. I'm nottakin away from the others, but come on man, the flow Big had was in its own class.Lyrically the cats you names were nicer then Big.

Yeah people get flow and lyricism mixed up sometimes. Biggie's flow was smooth and effortless,
He'll take words that don't normally rhyme and bring it together "Trying to see 5 mill/ off the sing-le/ for real

Big Pun greatest lyricist is arguable definitely but he is under-rated and its crazy that he is.
He started rapping AT 20 years old, which is bannanas.

I saw the movie and I thought it was okay. It wasn't anything spectacular or anything. However, the acting was pretty much on point though. I would have like to see them add more details to the movie. It seemed like they were rushing it way too fast. The first half of the movie to me was like, what the hell? Didn't really explain the details that well. I was hoping the concept would be more dramatic like the movie "Ray" but overall, it is the only good movie out in theaters at the moment IMO. Atleast I got to see some titties in the movie. Esp. that former 3LW chick's titties lol

Saw the movie...

For real, it's not "Forrest Gump" or "The Godfather", but the movie was damn good and entertaining. I watched it yesterday, and I think I'll see it again.

The girl playing Faith Evans was horrible... that Antonique Smith... maybe without the makeup and the bleached hair. And Naturi Naughton, the girl playing Lil Kim, had fake boobs...
