I have a mpc 1000, and a br-900 recorder. I can only record 2 tracks simultaniousely. Is there an affortable recorder out there that I can record atlease 8 tracks at the same time?
I do not have a good computer so therefor I have to settle for outboard for now. I want my set up to be from the mpc 8, 1/4 mix out, into a mixer than to a recorder. But I want to be able to record atlease 8 tracks simultaniosely. Can you guys help me out? Which are some good descent recorders out there that are not so pricey, that will do what I want for my setting? Thanks....

Yes I do. The reason why is because on my br, I have to record one track at a time from the mpc, therefore I have to push play from the mp and record on the br at the same time, so the timing is off. I struggle to get the timing right on, so its a hassle. Got to go back to work, but please help me out, will check my thread later tonight about 10 pm pacific time.

look into the older roland VS 1880, 1680 models. They give a much better recording than that boss machine you have even though they are basiclly the same company. You will have to buy a CD burner for them, but they are worth it. Or look into a AW16G(what I have) 20gig hardrive and cdburner installed. Great machine for the 1k. Its easy as pie to get them working
