you caould easily do a search on that question.

HOWEVER, since i have owned both of these boards, allow me to ask you some questions before i give a reply....

will you be using an outboard effects processor? do you need a sequencer? what type of sounds are you looking for? how much money can you spend?

answer these questions...... and you will have an answer.

Hi Tony,

There is the Triton Extreme that you could look for. It is same as Triton Studio but with cooler interface, new features and 5 time the amount of sounds than in other Triton.
I like a lot Korg sound, they got life in em. Go check it out!!

I like too the Roland V-Synth, it is good for sampling, it has a special feature where you can play with sample and stretch them, chop them and change the pitch without affecting the quality, perfect for hip-hop!

another thing you can look for is to buy a MIDI controller with velocity and aftertouch for 300$ and you can buy Synth module : all the same sound but half the price.

Look you can buy the triton rack module for 1000$ and a controller for 300$ instead of the triton for 2,400$. You can buy two synth module and a controller for approximately 2,300$!
But keep in mind that you have to use a pc with a sequencer. If you want a workstation all-in-one go for the big machine!
