Myspace fraudsters.

I got a message from this myspace profile the other day, http://www.myspace.com/mrporter313
Its obviously a fake profile, I had a chat with the guy on msn and it seemed all he wanted to do was get some money from me, offering to lay down a verse and get 1000 copies of the finished track pressed, for a couple hundred.
His scheme was very transparent. I just want to put a little warning out to the illfam about the lengths fraudsters will go to take your hard earned cash. Im reporting the page to myspace and also to the real Denaun Porter.
Be careful kids, its a tough world out there.

yh the guy is a poor fraudster, i noticed that 1m friends or woteva stright away. fact is tho, soon your gonna have more and more real fruadsters gettin into it, and if there good enough, itll b hard to tell the diff, so watch out

I have reported the guy to both myspace and to a contact from MrPorterBeats.com.
Myspace said they have removed the content, but they obviously havent.
And the contact at MrProterbeats.com was happy that I informed them.
On Swifty's real myspace page this guy has been mentioned on the blog.
The guy really hasnt got the brains to be a good conman, the pages look real good, but when you talk to the guy, his lack of professionalism gives him away instantly.
I felt it best to report him, being as there are many up and coming producers out there who could probably be taken in.

I think Ive had just about enough of myspace now. Its been ruined now, you cant even send a message without having to use the bullshit text confirmations. I havent got time to be fucking about like that. I might have to get my facebook account soon.

i recommend facebook highly, but for real friends only, i know that sounds kind of weird tho
facebook, imo, is much better than myspace. but for music, and gettin contacts etc, myspace is leagues ahead. facebook isnt built for it

To be honest Ive sort of lost faith in all of those networking sites, my best networking has been done right here at illmuzik. And also through my website. Myspace has had its day, it was very useful once, but not anymore.
Looks like Wings has also hung up the myspace boots.

Definately agree with u there. producer networks are the best way to network, other than that i think just getting out there and doin it. no1's goin 2 look at myspace to judge whether ur popular or have gd music. especially with all profile view fixers, and friends finders etc etc
